LITERACY COACH/INTERVENTIONIST

The Lisbon School Department is seeking a highly qualified K-5 certified teacher for the position of Literacy Coach/Interventionist.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: a minimum of 5 years of successful literacy teaching at the K-5 level, a thorough understanding of the updated Literacy Maine Learning Results, the ability to collaborate within and among teams, experience with planning for, implementing, and overseeing Response to Intervention groups, the ability to establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a supportive learning environment, and the ability to organize, track and analyze data to inform instruction. The candidate must also possess the ability to meet regularly with grade level teams to improve teaching and learning in the Tier I literacy classroom, while working collaboratively with administration to develop and facilitate building-specific professional development. 

Special Requirements/Experience Needed: Elementary School Certification 020 or 282 with Master’s Degree in Literacy. Prior Instructional Coaching experience preferred.
