RESILIENCY, RESOURCE and TRAUMA COACH/COORDINATOR

LISBON SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

The Lisbon School Department is seeking a dynamic educational leader for the position of Resiliency, Resource and Trauma Coach/Coordinator for our PreK-12 schools. The ideal candidate will be able to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team which includes student or related services, school administration, teachers and staff. This individual will also be responsible for providing classroom and school team consultation, professional development, and coaching to implement a trauma-informed approach and ensure successful program implementation at the school. The successful candidate will work with administrative, instructional, and non-instructional staff to develop a holistic approach that emphasizes emotional wellness for staff and students, improving the overall school climate and implementing trauma-informed systems to reduce re-traumatization, promote student and staff resilience and increase positive academic and non-academic outcomes for students while always promoting the vision and goals of the Lisbon School District.

Requirements/Experience:  At least five years of experience in an educational setting that includes proven experience coaching and developing other teachers to improve their instructional practices. A Bachelor’s degree and Maine certification in Education, Mental Health, Social Work, or professional experience in a related field is preferred.
